My journey with birds began in 2014, when what started as a simple curiosity gradually turned into a decade-long passion for exploring India’s incredible avian diversity. Over the years, birding has taken me through forests, wetlands, grasslands, scrublands and urban landscapes, constantly teaching me that there is always something new to discover.
I am a birder, bird guide and wildlife photographer, with a keen interest in bird identification, behaviour, bird calls, habitat and the stories that connect birds to their ecosystems. What excites me most is not just finding a bird, but understanding it — knowing where to look, listening for its call, observing its behaviour and sharing that moment with fellow birders.
I currently lead birding tours and guided walks as a freelance bird guide and am also associated with *Ataavi as a Bird Guide Expert*, where I conduct and facilitate birding experiences. I enjoy creating experiences that are interactive, engaging and informative, whether it is helping someone spot their first endemic species, tracking down a bird through its call, or spending time quietly observing a species in its natural habitat.
While birds remain my primary passion, I began exploring *wildlife and mammals more actively about three years ago*, which has added another dimension to my understanding of forests, habitats and wildlife behaviour.
Alongside my work in the natural world, I currently work as an *Investment Manager at Motilal Oswal*. Outside the corporate world, however, you will most likely find me with binoculars around my neck, a camera in hand and a new trail waiting to be explored.
For me, every birding trip is an adventure. *The destination may be a forest, a wetland or an unfamiliar landscape, but the real excitement lies in not knowing what the next call, movement or glimpse might reveal.* I look forward to sharing that sense of discovery, creating memorable experiences and helping fellow travellers see the wild a little differently.
