For me, wildlife photography is much more than capturing a beautiful image. It is about being present in the wild — observing animal behaviour, understanding the environment, noticing the smallest details, and patiently waiting for those fleeting moments that nature chooses to reveal. Some of the most memorable photographs are not planned; they are moments that simply unfold in front of you.
I particularly enjoy photographing wildlife and birds in their natural surroundings, creating images that tell a story beyond the subject itself. The changing light, landscapes, seasons, colours, and moods of the wilderness fascinate me just as much as the wildlife within them. Every journey into the wild gives me something new to observe, learn, and photograph.
Today, I am also a Skipper at Katrivia Expeditions, a role that allows me to take my passion beyond my own photography. Being part of Katrivia gives me the opportunity to explore incredible wilderness destinations alongside people who share the same fascination for nature and photography. I enjoy helping fellow photographers understand the field, anticipate wildlife behaviour, approach a scene creatively, and work towards capturing the images they have envisioned.
For me, one of the most rewarding parts of an expedition is not only returning with photographs of my own, but also seeing someone experience an unforgettable wildlife encounter or capture a frame they are truly proud of.
Photography and travelling through the wild have taught me patience, observation, and a deeper appreciation for nature. With every expedition, my aim is simple — to keep exploring, keep learning, create meaningful images, and help others experience the extraordinary stories that the wild has to offer.
