Tucked deep within the rainforests of Wayanad, CGH Earth’s Wayanad Wild offers the perfect backdrop for a rich macro and herpetofauna experience. With dense foliage, forest streams, and untouched leaf litter all around, the property becomes a haven for snakes, amphibians, and a variety of macro life—from shimmering spiders and exotic frogs to camouflaged reptiles and rare insects. This tour is designed to immerse participants in the hidden world beneath the canopy, where every step offers a chance to witness and photograph nature’s tiniest wonders up close.

Join us on one of a kind tour to one of the best forests of the country. With its diverse flora and fauna, rocky terrain, dense green cover and panorama, Bandipur forms the perfect nature lovers retreat. Not only is Bandipur home to a good and increasing number of big cats, it is also home to a large number of Asiatic elephants. Infact, the highlight of Bandipur is one can view and document Asiatic elephants in their natural habitat against the mighty Nilgiri mountains in the backdrop!

Who can join this tour?

This tour is open to anyone aged 18 and above who’s curious, passionate, and eager to explore the world of photography. Whether you’re a beginner wanting to understand the basics or an enthusiast looking to refine your skills, this experience is designed to inspire and guide you—no prior experience or fancy gear required, just your love for nature and the desire to learn.

Where are we staying and what kind of accommodation and food can we expect?

We’ll be staying at Wayanad Wild – a CGH Earth property, located by a forest stream in the heart of nature. Accommodation is on a twin-sharing basis in comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Single occupancy is available at an additional cost. Enjoy a delicious buffet of local, Indian, and continental cuisine throughout the stay.

What kind of gear should I bring? Will leech socks and gumboots be provided?

Yes, leech socks and gumboots will be provided by the resort. As for photography gear, our Katrivia skipper will brief you on what to carry based on your level and interests. If needed, the skipper can also assist you with gear rental options—feel free to reach out directly for guidance.

Is it safe to move around with reptiles nearby?

Yes, absolutely. All field activities are conducted under the guidance of an expert naturalist from CGH Earth and a skipper from Katrivia who will ensure your safety while helping you get the best photography opportunities. With their experience and protocols in place, there’s nothing to worry about.

I was looking for a peaceful vacation.
When I signed for the safari package, had zero knowledge and I didn't know them well. Just from Instagram. I had one request that I have knee injury so I requested Aravind that I can’t walk more and climb stairs.

Considering my request Aravind planned so well that I need not to worry about anything.

My first solo trip and with Aravind and fellow participants whom I met in this trip, awesome souls. I’m truely blessed to meet them on this journey.

Our first safari came with surprise and we sighted a leopard and followed by a female tigress. Imagine my first ever safari and I was dumbstruck by this view.

And second day sighted a huge male tiger. what a luck. In 4 safari we sighted dancing peacock, gaur, sambar deer, leopard, tigers, sloth bear, elephants and herd of deers It was a wow experience.

Stay, safari everything planned to the top notch. Only who knows the best can provide the best and I’m thankful to Aravind for giving this wonderful experience. Shez too. It was a fun filled, knowledgeable journey.

Trip was very good , clean neat rooms , and the safari was a great memory .

Can easily say those 3 days (4 safaris)was the most memorable days for me-
I not just had amazing sightings but also learnt so much about the forest, info about the leopards and tigers of bandipur and most importantly learnt how to use a camera

From seamless logistics to raw wilderness encounters, every detail of the guided tour package was handled with supreme professionalism and care. The itinerary was exceptionally well-structured. I had recently been to Kabini with them under the guidance of skipper Ullas. It was a fantastic tour all round. We got to witness multiple big cats in the jungle. It was amazing to see the tigers up close. We also got some really interesting insights on wildlife and the forests in general from our skipper. Overall it was a really good experience.
