KGudi Wilderness Camp : A Hidden Gem in Biligiri Ranganna Hills

Nestled within the serene Biligiri Ranganna Hills (B R Hills), KGudi Wilderness Camp offers an experience as elusive as it is breathtaking. This ancient hill range, standing as a sentinel where the Western Ghats meet the Eastern Ghats, derives its name from the temple perched high on a dramatic precipice.
The surrounding forests are a haven for bird enthusiasts, boasting over 250 species, including the velvet-fronted nuthatch, gold-fronted chloropsis, blossom-headed parakeet, and the melodious Malabar whistling thrush. Whether you’re a seasoned bird photographer or just starting, the camp itself provides endless opportunities to capture stunning avian images.

What sets KGudi Wilderness Camp apart is its unique location within the BRT Tiger Reserve. As the only Jungle Lodges property situated inside the reserve, it offers an unparalleled experience that words can scarcely capture. This is a place where nature’s beauty is not just seen, but felt—an experience that must be lived to be fully appreciated.
